Jeanette Aspin - Co-owner

Propertyscouts founder Jeanette has a background in the financial and IT sectors. She has lived and worked in England, Ireland, Australia and the United States.

It was while living in New York and trying to look for property to buy in New Zealand that she came up with the original Propertyscouts concept. "Being located overseas meant it was difficult to see exactly what you were getting when viewing properties online" she said. 

Since returning to NZ to live Jeanette has invested in the Dunedin property market and is a keen residential and commercial property investor.  So keen in fact that Propertscouts 'core' business is managing residential and commercial properties on behalf of owners.  "I really enjoy working alongside property owners to ensure they are getting the best out of their investment properties".  

A keen traveller - Jeanette enjoys her role as it allows her to meet people from all over the world.  "I'm a very keen 'networker' and that has helped me to establish very good business relationships with some of Dunedin's bigger employers like the university, hospital and Cadburys".    

After many years living abroad Jeanette is now enjoying the lifestyle and pace of life that New Zealand offers. A keen runner and multi-sport participant, Jeanette also gets pleasure from hiking in the beautiful New Zealand outdoors.

Milton Weir - Co-owner

Milton became a co-owner of Propertyscouts in 2009.  "I'd known Jeanette for a number of years and recognised her abilities to deal with property owners and tenants from a diverse background.  Property owners and tenants are core to the business so having a person like Jeanette who is so committed to the business customers was a key factor for me".  

Milton has been an avid residential and commercial property investor since the early 1990's and set up his own property management business over ten years ago.  He retired from the NZ police in 1999 at the rank of Detective Sergeant with over 20 years police experience.  He has a number of business interests including part ownership of a sucessful day spa franchise.  He provides business development consultancy to a number of businesses including award winning Isotec Limited.

Miltons involvement with Propertyscouts will predominately involve business development.  In his words..."we want to be the best we possibly can be, at every aspect of our business".  Growing the business without compromising service will be his aim in the forseeable future.     

Vincent Chee - Administration Manager

 Vincent is the latest member to join the Propertyscouts Team. His role as Administration Manager leaves Jeanette free to provide the great personal service to Propertyscouts clients that she always has. Vincent is from Sarawak in Malaysia, and has a business background in the Banking Industry. He is very organised and has a great eye for detail - making him the ideal person for completing property inspections.

Glen Aspin: Property Maintenance

As an experienced and qualified builder, Glen is the perfect person to carry out annual programmed maintenance inspections.  He is also able to carry out cost effective repairs and maintenance.  He can provide accurate advice on potential costs and timeframes for any maintenance or alterations that may be needed. Glen has a good eye for making sure rental properties are well maintained and is able to tend to any minor problems before they become major issues.
