Jeanette Aspin - Co-owner
Propertyscouts founder Jeanette Aspin has a background in the financial and IT sectors. She has lived and worked in England, Ireland, Australia and the United States. It was while living in New York and trying to look for property to buy in New Zealand that she came up with the original Propertyscouts concept. Jeanette is now based in Dunedin and is a keen residential and commercial property investor with exceptional networking skills. She enjoys working alongside property owners to ensure they are getting the best out of their investment properties. Jeanette is a keen traveller, runner and multi-sport participant.Milton Weir - Co-owner
Milton became a co-owner of PropertyScouts in 2009. He has been a residential and commercial property investor since the early 1990's, and set up his own property management business over ten years ago. Milton is a retired Detective Sergeant with over 20 years police experience. He has a number of business interests including part ownership of a successful day spa franchise. He provides business development consultancy to a number of businesses including the award winning Isotec Limited. Milton’s role is to enable PropertyScouts to grow without compromising service. Vincent Chee - Administration Manager
Vincent is the Propertyscouts Administration Manager, and tends to the paperwork side of the business. This leaves the rest of the team free to provide great personal service to all Propertyscouts clients. Vincent is from Sarawak in Malaysia, and has a business background in the Banking Industry. He is very organised and has a great eye for detail - making him the ideal person for ensuring accurate record keeping at all times. Nicola Weir Tenant Services
Nicola was encouraged to join the team at Propertyscouts as the company grew and it became necessary to have a person dedicated to liaising and helping tenants find the right rental property. For the previous thirteen years Nicola managed a boutique accommodation complex for the University of Otago and prior to that owned and operated a very successful restaurant, bar and café in the Roslyn Village. Nicolas skills and knowledge of the accommodation and hospitality market in Dunedin have added value to the business and Propertyscouts is now also a recognised short term accommodation provider. Nigel Bailey maintenance Guru
Nigel responded when we advertised for a property Guru in order to ensure we provided a better and more cost effective maintenance service to our owners and tenants. He owns his own business, and contracts to Propertyscouts for the majority of our general maintenance work. He has an engineering background as well as a Bachelor and Post Graduate degree in Science. He’s a committed property investor and renovator who’s into hunting, shooting fishing and mountain biking in his spare time.
